On 25th August we gathered as usual, but with the addition of sparkly masks, ridiculously yummy home made cake from Ann and Danila and a wool swap to celebrate two years of Knit Club goodness here in Falmouth. It seems amazing that it’s been two years since Sarah decided to join forces with Lynsey at (the since sadly closed) Babahogs to offer coffee, cake and knitty know-how to anyone who wanted to join in the fun. But practically every Wednesday night since then (none of this breaking up for the holidays nonsense for the likes of us!) Knit Club’s been gathering, garter stitching and gossiping and now we’re settled in our lovely, cosy corner at Toast and we’ve made lots of fab new friends we hope we’ll be going strong for a long time yet.
So what are the magic Falmouth Knit Club ingredients?
tea + cake + wool
jolly nice folks + knitting
super sparkly face masks + cheesy grins
unfeasibly large balls of wool + cheesy grins
and of course… lovely knitted things (flowers from Hannah’s wedding in this case!)

Happy anniversary/birthday! I miss you guys. Good news is that I have found the Leiden knitclub (or at least one of them), so I don’t have to knit alone. Keep up the good work, I hope to be visiting in December or Januari and might come along (if you let me)

Hi Tineke, yes of course you should come along if you’re back in town. Old friends are always welcome at FKC! x
